LipoScience is the first company to provide clinical laboratory results based on nuclear magnetic resonance technology (NMR) for use in studies and publications.

To date, lipoprotein analysis has played an important role in over 1000 clinical research studies and over 180 peer-reviewed publications.  The wealth of knowledge gained from study of disorders affecting lipid and lipoprotein metabolism such as pre-diabetes, diabetes* and cardiovascular disease has created a uniquely qualified focus for LipoScience to continue development of NMR-based assays for related actionable analytes that may benefit from rapid, physical measurement by NMR .

LipoScience also continues to search for causative agents and novel markers that may be key to pattern recognition for diabetes and other metabolic diseases.
